I perceive myself to be nothing more than a big kid who loves to provide levity and provoke laughter. Humor and adventure go hand in hand with me. If given the opportunity to choose my reincarnation, I would bypass the fame of the late, great cartoonist Tex Avery, my artistic hero, and return as a caveman. “Wouldn’t it be cool to fight a dinosaur?” Content in the here and now, I’m happiest on a quiet night at home, with a blank piece of paper, a sharp pencil, markers, and pens a piece or two of Extra spearmint gum, and a new idea in my head. I’m a big kid who loves to create amusing, colorful and uplifting illustrations. I’m a former hamburger flipper, insulation installer, factory worker, assembly line worker, concrete laborer, box packer, grocery bagger, waiter, salesman, and dead end corporate job survivor who received his BFA from Columbus College of Art and Design. I’ve been blessed to have to create graphics for major retailers, designed websites, illustrate for children’s books, medical and educational brochures, and much more. In addition to creating art and designing, I’m the founder and right brain of Corky Mansfield.
A FEW FUN FACTS ABOUT ME:

I have lost a little over 130lbs and have been able to keep it off for 13 years. My story is a lot like other people’s. I was in shape throughout school. After school I became lazy and ate too much without working out. At my high point I was at 330lbs. Well that is at least my best guess. That was a far as my scales would wrap around. Either way I was unhappy! Rock bottom for me was my paints getting dried. Cotton shrinks and I wasn’t! I was stuck in the house all day until I could “stretch” the jeans out a little. The next morning I joined the gym, got rid of a lot of fatty foods, and changed my lifestyle. It took about a year to lose all my weight. I ate lots of Subway! Unlike Jared though I wasn’t smart enough to let Subway know!!! They key to the success? A lot of hard work, determination, and dreaming. Diets work for the short term…if you want to keep it off change your lifestyle!!
I started doodling when I was very young. My notes in class started as notes and ended up full of drawings. One of the first thing I remember drawing was Donruss Diamond Kings. I think I drew this card a 100 times!

This was the first video game I bought. Aside from Super Mario Brothers & Duck Hunt that came with the Nintendo. Worked all summer to earn the money to buy this. This game was awesome! This was also the first game I conquered. That three headed dragon at the end was tough!!! Lots of hours spent parked in front of my RCA t.v. with this game.

This was my first car. 1986 Mazda GLC it was one bad (meaning good) car! My GLC was black. Even tough I looked a ogre driving it. Those who don’t know a GLC is about the size of a Ford Festiva. Once the car was tipping over while sliding in the snow. I offset this by throwing myself in the other seat…like I said small and light! How many high school kids can you get in this car? More than you think. Ah! the memories!
